Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is our need crying out for help. It is our total dependence on God for assistance. It is the voice of Faith to the Father Prayer is the living Word in the lips of Faith. The Bible says, For the word of God is living and powerful, (Heb 4:12) However, it is the living word that comes out of believing hearts that produces result. Listen to this: “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. (Mark 11:24) It is holding His Word up to Him in prayer like a mirror. He sees Himself in His Word. He said it, you are asking Him to do it. He promised, and you hold that promise to Him in prayer. Present your case, says the LORD. Bring forth your strong reasons, says the King of Jacob.” (Isa 41:21) Matt 7:7-8 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.(John 14:14) My Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. (John 16:23) Prayer means a vital contact with the father. It means coming near enough to Him to breathe in His presence. It is more than bringing Him to the Scene. It’s another way to experiencing the presence of the Lord. Finally, prayer is a spiritual exercise that illumines the Word, and illumines the mind; and it freshens and heals the body.
