Our Tenets

Our Tenets of Faith

The Scripture: We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God written by the Holy men of old by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the absolute authority of the scripture as a revelation of God's will for mankind and to govern the affairs of men. (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; 1Thess 2:13).

Trinity: We believe that our God is one, but manifested in three persons the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17); being Co-equal (Deut 6:4, Phil 2:6). God the father is greater than all. He is the sender of the Word and the Begetter (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14). The Son is the Word, flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the father from the beginning (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1: 14). The Holy Spirit, the third person in the Trinity comes forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 14:16; John 15: 26).

Man and the fall: We believe that Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God (Genesis 1:26-27); but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the World. We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost without hope and without God. The Bible says, "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God," and "There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:20-23, 3:10, Galatians 3: 22)

The Birth, the Death, and the Resurrection of Christ: We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, came in the likeness of man, never lost his deity, was crucified, died, buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven, and now seated at the right hand of God the Father.(Luke 1:26-38; Luke 2:1-14; Mark 15:33-47, 16:1-12, Luke 24:50-53; Ephesians 1:20)

Salvation: We also believe that Salvation is the gift of God to man. By grace we are saved through faith in the Lord Jesus (Ephesians 2:5-10). We believe that man's first step toward Salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance, and it's the new birth that produces eternal life (2 Cor 7:10; 1John 5:12; John 3:3-5).

Water Baptism: We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion in obedience to the Word of God. The ordinance is a symbol of the born again Christian's identification with Our Lord Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matt 28:19; Rom 6:4; Col 2:12 Acts 8:36-39). All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior should be baptized in water as a public profession of their faith in Christ (Col 2:11-12; Titus 1:10). We believe in professing water baptism in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Amen Baptism of the Holy Ghost: We believe the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Holy Spirit gives the utterance (Matt 3:11; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2: 38,39; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 2:1-4). We believe in the Gifts of the Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit.

Sanctification: We believe in sanctification through the Word of God, the Power of the Holy Spirit, Personal holiness, and purity of heart and life. The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in Sanctification as a progressive work of grace, from the time of regeneration to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ ( Heb 12:14; 1Thess 5:23; 2Peter 3:18; Phil 3:12-14; 1Cor 1:30; 2Cor 3:18; Rom 8:1-14).

Evangelism: We believe that evangelism is the heartbeat of God, and is the obligation of every follower of the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus commands us to go out and make disciples of all the earth (Matt 28:16-20; Mark 16:15).

Divine Healing: We believe that divine healing is provided for all in the atonement of Christ, and through the prayer of faith, and by laying of hands in the Name of Jesus. It is available to all who truly believe (Mark 16:18; James 5: 14,15; 1Peter 2:24; Matt 8:17; Isaiah 53: 4, 5).

Resurrection of the just and the return of our Lord Jesus: We believe that the dead in Christ shall rise first, and those that are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the Air at His second coming (Acts 1: 9-11; 1Thess 4:16,17).

Hell and Eternal Retribution: We believe that those that died in sin without accepting Jesus, are eternally lost in the lake of fire, and the saved in the eternal joy and presence of God (Hebrews
