Michael Tola Akomolafe was born in Nigeria, Africa. He attended the University of Ibadan and earned a Bachelors degree in Agriculture (Crop Science) in 1994. His Christian heritage was Methodist. Michael started his Christian journey in 1981 when he gave his life to Jesus Christ at a local revival. Shortly after, he joined a group of believers that subsequently formed a house-to-house Evangelism group. He was baptized with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues in 1982. During his College days at the University of Ibadan, he was a strong member of the Student Christians Movement and a Pioneering President of Department of Agronomy Student Association (Undergraduate Level). At his graduation in 1994, he received the Chancellor's award as the best Faculty Practical Trainee. After graduation, he worked with the Lagos State Ministry of Education, before immigrating to the United States of America in 1997. He married his beautiful wife Margaret Adetokunbo Akomolafe (Toks) in 2000. Michael was ordained a deacon at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (USA) in 2002 before the Lord directed him and his wife to Rhema Bible Training Center (Kenneth Hagin Ministries) Tulsa Oklahoma, where they both graduated in the Pastoral Class of 2004, after two years of exciting and wonderful experienced training. The same year, he also became a United States Citizen. After the graduation, the Lord led Michael and Toks to Pennsylvania State. Through God's help and assistance of a wonderful family friend who they met at Rhema in Tulsa Oklahoma and their parents, the mission was quickly accomplished. What a wonderful family of God!!! Pastors Michael & Toks Akomolafe started the Abundant Life in God's Love Bible Church with a few faithful and God loving members in Williamsport Pennsylvania on December 12th, 2004. After two years of work in Pennsylvania, the Lord gave me a prophecy concerning the year 2007 as the year of total change. With much fasting and prayers, the Lord finally spoke to us about moving the Church to the Arlington area in Texas. One important thing is to be led by the Spirit of God. The Bible says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Rom 8:14 Other important thing to me is to be willing and obedient to God’s voice. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Michael is a willing and refreshing vessel who is gifted with an exciting and heart touching preaching style in accordance with the practical wisdom and application of God's Word. He also ministers in the power and the anointing of the Holy Ghost with the manifestations of signs and wonders. The Akomolafe family is blessed with a son. Phillipians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you (us) will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Margaret Adetokunbo Akomolafe (Toks)
Pastor Margaret Adetokunbo Akomolafe (Toks) was born in Nigeria, Africa after her parents relocated from England. She graduated with a college degree in Business Administration. She is also a member of the Institute of Bankers. She pursued Banking as a career, and her last Banking position was a "Financial Service Specialist" with Suntrust Bank, Maryland. She got born again at the Christ Chapel Ministries under Pastor Tunde Joda in Surulere, Lagos Nigeria. Her mother especially influenced her spiritual life greatly because she was a strong woman of faith and prayer. When she moved to the United States in 1990, even though she pursued her Banking career, the Lord also started using her mightily in the ministry. She was used very much of God at the Refuge Temple Ministry in Washington DC, and also at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Laurel, MD. God's Divine call upon her life became so clear, which finally led both her and her husband to the Rhema Bible Training Center (Kenneth Hagin Ministries) in Tulsa Ok, where both her and her husband graduated from the Pastoral Class in May 2004. Toks lives a life of prayer interceeding for souls and situations. She is also a dynamic, Holy Sprit filled preacher with the purpose of converting souls to Christ. Her compassion in intercession has yielded very fruitful results in lives of souls. She has dedicated her entire life for God’s use.
